Here’s a truly exceptional example of natural taxidermy in action. Did this tree-rat munch some rat poison and kick off? Did it have a shocking experience attempting to pack nuts into an electrical transformer? Did it just flat-out decide living had become too much and give up? We may never know, but what we do know is that it’s been out in the elements long enough that the innards are gone and we’ve been left with just the bones and outtards. Some people pay good money for taxidermy, but in New Westminster nature will do it in some cases absolutely free.
